At 33 Capital, Navroze (“Nav”), is a Portfolio Manager focusing on Health & Wellness Investments at 33 Capital Management. Under the CIO, Nav oversees all healthcare related investment activities including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and execution.
Background
Nav brings over 25 years of investment experience to 33 Capital. He began his career in the research department at Montgomery Securities, where he covered companies in the bio-pharmaceuticals and medical device sub-sectors. He has also been an Analyst at SG Cowen, covering Health Care Information Technology and at Leerink Swann & Company where he covered Specialty Pharmaceuticals and Generic Drugs.
Nav’s buyside career began in 2000 as an Analyst at Sands Point Partners. Later, he joined Pequot Capital Management as Analyst where he was promoted to co-portfolio manager of The Healthcare Funds, and ultimately Managing Director, portfolio manager of the Healthcare Funds, and Head of Public Markets Healthcare for the firm. After Pequot, Nav managed a small-cap focused public/private strategy.
Most recently Nav was Co-Head of Total Return Global Equities Healthcare at Pictet Asset Management in Geneva, Switzerland, where he managed a global market neutral healthcare portfolio and a Senior Portfolio Manager at Candriam, where he managed the firms Candriam Equities L LifeCare Fund.
Education
Nav holds Bachelors Degrees in English Literature and Economics from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
